Signing of MoA between Pamulang University (UNPAM) Serang Campus and BPS Serang Regency
On Tuesday, October 29 2024, the Head of BPS Serang district, Mrs. Dra. Tutty Amalia, MAP. together with the Director of UNPAM Serang Campus, Mr. Dr. Imam Shofi'i, S.Ag., SE., M.Pd. carry out the signing of the MoA. The aim of the collaboration between UNPAM Serang Campus and BPS Serang Regency is for UNPAM Serang Campus lecturers and students, especially the Mathematics study program, to provide community service. In this case, UNPAM Serang Campus is committed to increasing student participation in higher education by providing education that is affordable to the community. Community service by students is carried out so that students are able to convey and apply the knowledge received in the world of work according to their field.
The hopes of this collaboration include, among other things, community service by UNPAM Serang Campus not only in the form of internship collaboration carried out by students to fulfill graduation requirements, but also collaboration in matters such as providing an online fishing sales website, legal assistance, and so on.
The collaboration plan between BPS Serang Regency and UNPAM Serang Campus is to create a Statistics Corner within the UNPAM Serang Campus with programs, including sharing knowledge about statistical science, statistical data, data produced by BPS, helping students with statistical methodology in research. It is hoped that in the future, the "Statistics Corner" mentor will not only have to be from BPS Serang Regency. However, it could also be from lecturers/teaching staff who have competence in the field of statistics.
