Abstract

The total workforce based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 865.90 thousand people, an increase of 69.08 thousand people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 4.55 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The working population in August 2024 was 786.38 thousand people, an increase of 50.8 thousand people from August 2023. In absolute terms, all business sectors experienced an increase, but the largest increase was in the agricultural sector at 27.33 thousand people.

In August 2024, 449.78 thousand people (57.19 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 0.85 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 9.18 percent, down 0.76 percentage points compared to August 2023
